The quiz itself is based upon the Irish and English pub quiz concept. Generally most bars find it is something which could fit easily into their entertainment schedule. Teams of 2 or more people gather for about 2 hours each week at your bar, where they answer questions based around topics of general interest (Sport, Entertainment, Music, TV & Cinema, Geography, History etc).

There are eight rounds of 10 questions, and the answers are always written, which puts no pressure on anyone to speak in public etc, so maximum participation is guaranteed. Teams get to select the 2 rounds in which they believe they will perform the best and play them for double points (known as the Joker round). There is also an ongoing question in which the teams are given one clue at the end of each round. This is our "Ponderous Puzzle". The clues are progressive but the points they earn decrease with each extra clue the teams receive.
